Some Fifty Shades of Grey readers are concerned that Dakota Johnson won't convey Anastasia Steele's sex appeal on the big screen. The actress's latest photo spread, on the other hand, says differently. Meanwhile, could Johnson be getting a new gossipy co-star?

Before getting the leading role in what could be the most sexually explicit movie of 2015, Johnson appeared in 21 Jump Street and the short lived sitcom, Ben and Kate. None of those roles are as scandalous as Anastasia Steele, but the 24-year-old actress insists she can turn on the heat.

"I don't have any problem doing anything," Johnson told Elle. "The secret is I have no shame."

It's not the sex, however, that Johnson loved most about E.L. James'S erotic Fifty Shades trilogy.

"Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes," Johnson explained. "I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."

If Johnson's Anastasia Steele hopes to break down Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan), she'll have to deal with old flames, one of whom might be played by Katie Cassidy (Gossip Girl, Arrow).

This week, James uploaded a picture of Cassidy onto her Instagram page.

The photo sparked rumors that Cassidy is joining the film. Some say Cassidy is a good fit for Leila Williams, Christian's lover from years ago who is now a widow. Others suggest Elena Robinson, the woman who introduced Christian Grey to his S&M ways.

If Cassidy is indeed joining the Fifty Shades of Grey cast, her flexibility combined with Johnson's confidence and Dornan's body could make for a very satisfying film. Still, the casting rumors remain just that.
