In a recent interview, actress Salma Hayek shared some of her weird beauty secrets and explained that she isn't afraid of a little fat.

At the premiere of her animated film "The Prophet," which the Mexican star produced, Hayek dished on some of her highly unusual beauty routines.

"I embrace fat, the good fat," Hayek told Extra. "This is very important, and I make a bone broth that you can look up on the Internet, it's very good for all your health and it's full of collagen, when you drink it, it's like fat. I think people are afraid of fat, and fat is your friend."

The actress made it clear she understood that her routine was different and explained that, unlike other women, she creates her own face cream.

"I do a lot of different things -- not a lot of things everybody does," she continued. "The main ingredient, it's the bark of a tree that's used in Mexican hospitals for burn victims, so it regenerates the skin."

The actress previously discussed her beauty routine with People, saying that she doesn't really work out and doesn't believe in Botox.

"I don't believe in Botox, especially when [people] do it so young," Hayek said. "They destroy themselves. They keep telling young girls, 'Do it young, so you never get wrinkles.' No, your face is going to fall. You'll have to keep getting more and more and more each time. So if you're going to do it, I recommend doing it as late as you can."

Hayek recently showed off the results of her beauty regiment and stunned when she posed topless for Allure magazine. While the 48-year-old actress may be confident in her body, she said was still nervous to take it all off for the camera.

"I was very nervous and I think I looked very uncomfortable at the beginning," she told Allure. "I mean, you can't see anything. Don't get excited!"
