The Walking Dead sees its midseason 4 premieres in just two days. The last eight episodes of the season have a lot of questions to answer, but according to Scott M. Gimple, showrunner, and Robert Kirkman, executive producer, resolution is coming sooner than expected.

A big question that many viewers have is regarding the fate of baby Judith. According to Kirkman and Gimple, the outlook isn't too good.

"l know is that there's a bloody car seat so things aren't looking too good," Kirkman said.

"I'm going to start with the not awesome thing: Judith was a baby in a place with free-roaming walkers, so the math isn't very good there," Gimple told Entertainment Weekly. "On top of that, there's things we wouldn't show on television ... so there's that."

Characters from the governor's camp, on the other hand, such as Tara, will make an appearance in the new episodes.

"I will say there are some eagle-eyed people on the Internet out there who have scoured the advertisement and pre-released things, and they believe they have spotted Tara," Gimple admitted. "People on the internet are smart, so I'd say we'll probably be seeing Tara."

Morgan will also be seen in the new episodes, despite earlier reports.

"He will not be definitely in season four," Gimple said. "Somebody misquoted me on that. Will he be on the show again? Yes. I am absolutely certain of that."

Other answers promised by Gimple include the truth behind the radio signal that Daryl Dixon heard in the car, which will come "sooner." This season will also reveal more about the person behind the rat vivisection and zombie feeding, but "that answer doesn't come as quickly though."

These upcoming episodes will also see the introduction new characters Dr. Eugene Porter, Abraham Ford and Rosita Espinoza, who will reportedly be played by Josh McDermit (Last Comic Standing, Retired at 35), Michael Cudlitz (John Cooper, Southland) and Christian Serratos (Angela Weber, Twilight) respectively.

"These characters are going to be extremely similar to who they were in the comics, and I'm really excited about that," Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly. "The visuals and costuming for them has been absolutely amazing. These people really do look like they were torn out of the comic page, it's pretty startling, but I will say people excited for the introduction of these characters won't have to wait very long."

According to New York Post, the characters will appear "at the of end" of the episode scheduled to air on Feb. 16, which released synopses say is titled "Inmates." Kirkman himself would not reveal when the characters will debut.

The last half of season 4 of The Walking Dead premieres at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
