Mariah Carey is accusing soon-to-be ex-husband Nick Cannon of "dragging his feet" in divorce proceedings.

TMZ reports on Wednesday Carey dined with her attorneys in Los Angeles, where the subject of getting the "America's Got Talent" host to formally sign off on their split seemed the primary topic on the menu. The website adds the star singer was in town to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and after the ceremony was done, she spent a significant portion of her evening huddled with attorneys Laura Wasser and Melanie Mandles.

According to reports, now rumored to be hot and heavy with Australian billionaire boyfriend James Packer, the 45-year-old Carey wants him to know she won't be tied down with Cannon for much longer. Rumors are the two are already considering marriage and recently traveled to Israel to meet with his spiritual adviser.

Meanwhile, Carey recently feted her new boyfriend with a rendition of her smash 1993 classic hit "Hero" while performing one of her ongoing shows in Las Vegas.

"I've got a new heart tonight," Carey cooed before approving fans. "James is in the house. Thank you for my heart, darling."

Carey is now also rumored to be contemplating relocating to Australia and moving in with the 47-year-old Packer, though reports are she is leery of what actions Cannon might take if she sought to move the twin children they share so far away. Just last month, she and Packer traveled to Italy with twins Moroccan and Monroe in tow.

The 34-year-old Cannon filed for divorce in January of this year after the two had been living apart for several months. Soon after their split went public, Carey released the song "Infinity," which appeared to be inspired by their breakup.
