Last week's episode of "Rizzoli & Isles" delved into family affairs and the drama that comes with complex relationships and unconventional families. But this week's episode 9 will take on a different kind of crisis, one that involves the intricacies of multiple relationships and deception that will end in a cruel death because of it.

Episode 9 is titled, "Love Taps," and the story will revolve around passion, crime and technology all in one.

According to the synopsis of the episode, Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles will be tasked to uncover the mystery and identity of the suspect who murdered a college student. But the seemingly simple investigation will make a complicated turn when the two discover that the victim had 32 girlfriends at the time of his death.

It may seem unthinkable for one person to carry multiple relationships at one time, but the answer perhaps can be found in technology and the Internet.

The episode will see the duo get into the world wide web of "app developers, virtual boyfriends, and relationships built on lies."

It's easy to speculate that one of the victim's girlfriends, considering he had many, could be one of the suspects. A spurned lover who discovered his cheating ways may have decided to seek revenge. Or it can also be someone else, perhaps, one of his girlfriends was also two-timing him with another man who found out about the affair?

Whatever the reason or the motive of the suspect, it can only be described as complicated and would probably see both lead characters take a moment to reflect on their own love lives as they embark on the mission to uncover the real killer.

This week's episode will also put Detective Vince Korsak in the limelight as he finally shows to his friends and colleague the "new woman in his life," noted Carter Matt.

Aside from main cast members Sasha Alexander, Angie Harmon, Bruce McGill and Jordan Bridges, actors Patrick Davis, Drew Ignatowski, Alex MacNicoll, Alicia Ziegler and Galadriel Stineman will be part of the episode as guest characters, noted Fashion N Style.

David Ogden Stiers will also be back to reprise his role as Arthur Isles, Maura's adoptive father.

"Rizzoli & Isles" air on TNT every Tuesday night at 9 p.m.
