Bobbi Kristina Death News Update: Nick Gordon Planning Own Memorial Service for Whitney Houston's Daughter?
Nick Gordon is rumored to be planning his own memorial service for deceased girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Entertainment Tonight reports the 25-year-old recently responded to a Facebook post by friend Mason Whitaker, which has since been deleted, with the declaration, "We will have our own service remembering and honoring Krissi. Only the real family that actually was there for her will attend."
Gordon was banned by Bobbi Kristina's family members from attending all services for her and from visiting her over the last six months she lay hospitalized and under doctor's care after being found face down in the bathtub of the home the two shared in late January.
Services for Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only daughter were held in Atlanta on Aug. 1. She has since been buried next to her superstar mother at a New Jersey cemetery.
Meanwhile, Gordon now faces a multimillion dollar lawsuit filed against him by Bobbi Kristina's court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove alleging that he physically abused and stole from his girlfriend. Since her passing, the suit has been amended to include an allegation of wrongful death.
More specifically, the suit charges on the night in question after a late-night "cocaine and drinking binge" Gordon "gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then put her face down in a tub of cold water causing her to suffer brain damage."
Currently, no criminal charges have been filed against Gordon and he has now retained high-profile attorney Jose Baez as part of his legal team. Baez previously served as counsel for Casey Anthony against first-degree murder charges in 2011.
Whitney Houston died a little more than three years ago when she too was found face down in the bathtub of the Beverly Hills hotel where she was staying. Authorities have since revealed she had drugs in her system at the time of her death.
