Jay-Z in the NFL: Rapper To Represent Infamous Lions Star Ndamukong Suh?
Infamous Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is usually in the headlines because of controversial plays on the field, but this week he's in the news for a completely different reason.
Suh is on the lookout for a new agent and it appears Jay-Z could be representing him in the near future. According to ESPN, multiple sources are indicating that Suh and Jay-Z's company, Roc Nation, are expected to announce an agreement.
Since switching gears to become a sports agent, Jay-Z has signed on with stars such as CC Sabathia, Robinson Cano, Kevin Durant, Victor Cruz, and Geno Smith, as mentioned by ESPN.
Suh is not only looking for a new agent but also a new contract. The defensive tackle is heading into the final season of his rookie contract and he could cash in big time as he enters the prime of his career.
However, Suh has been surrounded by controversy throughout his entire career. He has been fined so many times that most people have stopped counting and he has gained a reputation as a dirty player in the league.
Ben Watson, a Saints tight end, talked about Suh to NFL Network back in September when Suh was fined $100,000 for a hit on Vikings center John Sullivan this past season.
"I hesitate to call a player dirty simply because I don't know their intent, but I do know what he did was illegal and I do know he has done it multiple times so it comes a time when enough is enough," Watson said. "We need to get what he is doing rectified and we need to sit down as players and talk to him. We are talking about player safety and obviously this is a play that lies outside of that. As players, we need to hold ourselves accountable."
What do you think about Jay-Z deciding to work with Suh? Will it look bad on Jay-Z or will it just be business as usual? In the comments section below, let us know what you think.
