Lamar Odom reportedly has issues with ex-wife Khloé Kardashian dating NBA star James Harden, and now she is rumored to be hiring a bodyguard to protect her.

Days after it was reported Kardashian was "freaked out" by an early-morning confrontation she had with Odom outside SoulCycle in Beverly Hills, a source told People magazine the reality TV star is on the verge of taking the added precautions.

"Lamar has been trying to contact Khloé, but she is done and has ignored him," a source added. "Lamar has issues with Khloé dating Harden."

Among those encouraging Khloé to take the added steps is older sister Kim, who reportedly warned her that Odom's behavior is inappropriate and needs to be stopped before it goes any further.

"Khloé is in full agreement and they're going to start looking into private security right away," said a source. "Kim says that there's no reasoning with Lamar right now, so it's better to be safe than sorry."

Reports are Khloé had no idea her ex knew where she was when he approached her last Wednesday and allegedly grabbed her arm as she tried to get away from him. An eyewitness described her as "visibly upset" by the encounter, which caused her to run away and hurriedly drive off.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Odom has been hinting that the meeting with Khloé was prearranged and that much of what is being reported about the encounter is untrue. He told TMZ he did not ambush his ex and "nobody got followed."

Odom later added, "Nobody got hassled. Nobody got harassed. Nobody got grabbed on, none of that ... It's ridiculous, it's crazy ... It's just not the truth."

The former NBA star also pointed out that he now lives in Las Vegas and is not privy to his ex's regular routine in Los Angeles. "Did I just guess right where this girl may be?" he said.
