Fans of Hiro, Baymax and the rest of their friends will be delighted to know that the superhero crew is on its way to the highly anticipated video game, "Kingdom Hearts 3."

The announcement was made at Disney's D23 event in California.

Video game publisher Square Enix confirmed to the audience that the developers are adding the world of Baymax and friends onto the game. A level will be created to have the backdrop and characters of "Big Hero 6" in the third iteration of the title.

According to the publisher, the world will feature the "urban setting of San Fransokyo" where Hiro and Baymax lives and will continue the story from the events of the film and the superheroes' adventures from the movie, noted Game Rant.

Square Enix also teased that fans will see a dark and evil Baymax in "Kingdom Hearts 3." The publisher added that the antagonist in the video game will be able to get Baymax's body that was found in the portal and will use it for evil.

The enemy will harness the "powers of darkness" and use it to revive the old Baymax to turn it into something bad, reported Game Spot.

The idea to add "Big Hero 6" in "Kingdom Hearts 3" was welcomed by the film's producer.

"'Big Hero 6' is such a special film for me and we always made sure that each action sequence had a very special meaning," said producer Ray Conli. "The themes in Kingdom Hearts and 'Big Hero 6' match very well. For instance there's friendship, really important to both stories, and then of course light over darkness."

Aside from these details, no other update about the highly anticipated game was revealed during the event.

It is still unclear how Hiro and his other friends will take part in Sora's adventures in the upcoming title.

The world of "Big Hero 6" is just among the few new levels that will be seen in the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts 3" title. Square Enix previously revealed that "Tangled" will also be part of the video game, according to Gear Nuke. An announcement trailer was unveiled for this world in the E3 event last June.

The announcement on D23 did not mention a release date for the game yet. Many speculations point to a 2016 or 2017 release for the third iteration of the title.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" will be available to the current generation consoles of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
