The year has just begun, but AskMen.com readers have already decided who they want the most. The website recently revealed its 2014 edition of Top 99 Most Desirable Women and named Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke as its number 1 pick.

Over one million people cast their votes for the list, which also features Sarah Hyland, Kim Kardashian, Zoe Saldana and Gal Gadot. According to a statement from the website, voters were asked to pick ladies who "most closely match their ideals" and to consider "more than just sex appeal." Ultimately, voters were instructed to base their vote on "character, talent and potential for 2014."

"It's unsurprising, we suppose, that a women famed for playing the Khaleesi and conquering literal dragons was able to conquer mere AskMen voters," the website said. "In a field studded with classically gorgeous blonde bombshells and swimsuit models, we have to say that it's refreshing to see a unique beauty like Clarke take the crown. It's rightfully deserved."

The actress is known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, which sees its season 4 premiere on April 6, 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. Thus, 2014 may in fact be a big year for the 26-year-old English actress.

"Emilia Clarke being crowned Khaleesi of the Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2014 is attributable to the strength and character she portrays onscreen as well as the popularity of HBO's Game of Thrones," James Bassil, AskMen publisher, told Los Angeles Times.

AskMen voters will be pleased to know that Clarke is no longer dating Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy who she dated for six months, and is currently single, Wall Street Journal reported last week.

It seems television really gets men going. Community actress Alison Brie took home the silver medal in the Top 99 Most Desirable Women list.
