Kim Kardashian Pushing Kris Jenner Into Retirement so She Can Head Family Empire?
Kim Kardashian reportedly has designs on replacing mom Kris Jenner as head of the family's still rising empire.
Radar Online reports Kanye West's newlywed bride has been "urging her mom to retire" as part of her lifelong dream of replacing her as the family's leading voice on business.
"Kim's always dreamed of taking Kris' place at the head of the family," said a source, adding that with West at her side, she now appears to be even more empowered to make the move.
"She wants Kanye to call all the shots with her, from show plot lines to business and endorsement deals," the source added.
As might be expected, the 59-year-old Jenner isn't exactly on board with all the would-be changes. But the 34-year-old Kardashian is rumored to be hanging tough, insisting to her mom that the change should happen gracefully and without hint of any dissension.
"She says there's still so much money-making potential with the family," the source added of Kim's thinking. "But managing it all is a young woman's job."
Meanwhile, younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner are also reported to be "itching" at the chance for greater power, with rumors percolating that they are planning to leave the family driven "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" show and launch their own brand at the first opportunity.
"Kendall and Kylie have both wanted out of KUWTK for quite some time now and they are starting to realize their power because people are focusing on the two of them more than ever before," a source told.
The source also shot down recent rumors about Kylie wanting to leave the public eye and have a more private life, presumably for her and rapper boyfriend Tyga.
"Kylie does not want to ever leave television, but she does want to separate herself from the current storyline of the show," the source added.
