Mortal Kombat X Gameplay, Rumors: YouTuber Predicts More New Characters, Mortal Kombat Creator Calls Idea 'Interesting' [Watch]
Mortal Kombat X could be getting more downloadable content (DLC), which would include new characters and skins.
YouTube user Maximilian Dood predicts in a five-minute video that a second Kombat Pack will be released that would include more characters. Max discusses the characters he thinks should make it into the next Kombat Pack DLC.
He was able to get a response out of Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon on Twitter. Boon called Max's character predictions "an interesting perspective."
Other fans also agree that a Kombat Pack 2 is coming. Max focuses on non-playable characters that are found in the story mode of the game. He says these characters will soon become playable. Max mentions Rain, Sindel and Baraka. Rain was originally considered to be a character in the game's actual roster, but was not able to make the cut. Sindel has been teased in some of Boon's recent tweets. Boon promised a character that screams loudly on Twitter. Mortal Kombat fans who have followed the franchise over the years know that Queen Sindel is definitely a screamer.
Another character that Max is predicting is Baraka. Baraka was playable in the last version of Mortal Kombat and it would be easy to add the character in Mortal Kombat X.
Story mode characters could easily make it into Mortal Kombat X. The move sets and assets for these characters are already built into the code for the game, so adding them would not be very hard. Adding these characters would be much easier than adding brand new characters.
Mortal Kombat X could continue adding guest characters too. They already have Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th movies and Predator from the Predator movies. It would make sense to add Alien, Predator's biggest rival.
At the end of his video, Max predicts that Kombat Pack 2 will be released at the end of August, which is very soon.
