Rosie O'Donnell's teenage daughter has been reported missing, and New York police are now investigating.

Early Tuesday, O'Donnell posted a statement on her website which read, "Nyack, New York police authorities have been looking for her in the Rockland County area since Sunday ... She was last seen Tuesday, Aug. 11."

The former "The View" talk show host added the last time 17-year-old Chelsea was seen she was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women's grey converse sneakers and a black backpack.

The girl is also described as sporting a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word "Breathe." She last left home with her six-month old therapy dog, and family members fear she may have stopped taking her medicine and be in need of medical attention.

O'Donnell's rep later added, "[Chelsea,] like millions of people, lives with mental illness. It has been a difficult road for Chelsea and her family, and they just want her back safe."

The 53-year-old O'Donnell also took to Twitter in hopes of drumming up more information about her daughter, posting, "chelsea and her dog bear -- last seen in nyack ny,"

Chelsea is O'Donnell's daughter with her ex Kelli Carpenter. In all, O'Donnell is the mother of five children along with Carpenter and her most recent ex Michelle Rounds.

O'Donnell announced she was leaving "The View" for a second time back in February, right around the time she hastily split from Rounds. At the time, she cited "putting her health and family first" as her primary reason for her leaving. O'Donnell first left the show in 2007.

Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts in urged to contact authorities at 845-358-0206 or by dialing 911.
