‘Extant’ Spoilers Season 2 Episode 10: Molly Has a Disturbing Vision, Shepherd’s Loyalty Questioned [Watch]
The last episode of "Extant" left viewers on a cliffhanger and now it remains to be seen if Molly (Halle Berry) is really dead.
The next episode is titled "Don't' Shoot the Messenger" and will air on broadcast network CBS next Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 9 p.m. EDT, according to TV Guide.
What we know for sure is that Molly died, but not really. In the next episode she will have a disturbing vision she cannot shake and that will lead the charge for episode.
She was last seen succumbing to the virus that left her in a coma, during which she revisited her life and past memories. These included memories of her mistakes and her success.
She also remembered visions of her father and his past indiscretions, which she was a party to. He had taken her to a carnival as a young girl and used that as a way to have an affair with another woman. Molly saw this happen.
We also know that Shepherd's loyalty to the Global Space Commission (GSC) has been called into question.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Molly's death might have occurred, but that does not mean she stayed that way. The back-and-forth drama eventually led to Charlie's order to install the limiters within the Humanichs, which would essentially give them a conscience. Otherwise, they would be sociopaths upon release.
He was unable to install the limiters and was just about to shut them down before the GSC went into lockdown upon a breach. He is ordered to deploy the Humanichs. This also led to the release of the stored viruses by Tara and Aris.
It is believed that the stored viruses that were released were the key antidote to Molly's viral death and, ultimately, her savior.
