George Zimmerman, along with Amanda Knox and Casey Anthony, are two of America's most polarizing figures. The former neighborhood coordinator gained notoriety for gunning down seventeen-year-old African American Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida. The Sanford Police Department didn't arrest Zimmerman for six weeks until a special prosecutor appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott charged him with the murder of Trayvon Martin.

Even without the issue of race, which was injected into the case by both conservative and liberal media outlets alike, they is plenty reason to be angry with George Zimmerman. But Zimmerman is old news, right? He would be, except for the fact that he pops up in the media time and time again.

This time, he has agreed to a fairly high profile interview. The interview will be broadcast on spanish language channel Univision this Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET. Zimmerman will talk about his life since being acquitted of murdering Martin back in February 2012. The fact that he's agreed to a fairly high profile interview only shows how much of a fame whore he is. Even if he wasn't actually guilty of the murder, his appearance will only aggravate more and more people.

Check out this excerpt from the interview courtesy of The New York Daily News:

"He (Martin) saw my gun and told me he would kill me, and I knew he was telling the truth. I mean, was not playing," he told the station. "I asked him to stop ... And the young man did not care. Continued attacking ... I knew he would not stop even though I knew that someone had seen (the fight) and the police are coming. He did not care."

Yet, people will watch the interview. Everyone likes seeing a train wreck happen, they just don't want to be aboard at the time of the collision. Interview aside, Zimmerman has something else up his sleeves.

A bare knuckle fight may be in the works, though it keeps getting shelved. The mixed martial arts-trained Zimmerman wants to fight anyone and everyone. Prominent African American celebrities like DMX and The Game want in.

Just merely mentioning Zimmerman's name infuriates many Americans. Do you think George Zimmerman should just stay out of the spotlight? Share your thoughts with other Latin Post readers in the comments section below.
