Kelly Osbourne Blames Giuliana Rancic For 'The View' Backlash, Brands Her a 'Liar'
Kelly Osbourne is blaming Giuliana Rancic for the backlash she recently faced, stemming from comments she made on "The View" many perceived to be racist.
While serving as a panelist on the show several weeks ago, the 30-year-old former "Fashion Police" co-host said of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump's immigration policies, "If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?"
Back in February, a similar storm brewed when Osbourne and Rancic were both at the center of a simmering feud, which started when Rancic made a joke about Zendaya Coleman's dreadlocks looking and smelling like patchouli oil during the show's pre-Oscars special.
In time, Osbourne came to publicly bash Rancic for the comment and exited the show.
"Don't blame me for other people's mistakes," Osbourne told Us Weekly of her toilet-cleaning joke. "I wasn't edited. It wasn't a premeditated attack. And if I watched it, I would hate me too. So I have no problem, and I would do whatever I have to, to make it right. But don't compare me to her."
Beyond that, Osbourne hints that she never got a chance to fully explain what she was trying to say on "The View."
Osbourne insists she was cut off during the segment and what viewers got to see was only a few seconds of a longer clip.
"But I'm not going to make up excuses because I don't need to," she said. "I know who I am."
Later, Osbourne further vilified Rancic to reporters, exclaiming "I will never admit to liking Giuliana because I don't. I don't think she's a good person and I think she's a liar."
Meanwhile, Rancic has declined to speak about Osbourne's misstep on "The View" or compare it to the Coleman situation.
Appearing on a recent E! News show, she added, "I don't think I need to comment. I've got to take the high road on this."
