Still a month away from the highly anticipated return of cable television's most watched show "The Walking Dead," AMC has released a new promo for the series, as well as the first scene.

The two videos are enough to get any "TWD" fan excited, but there is much more to be realized for what's to come, according to an article on Vanity Fair.

Fans can rest assured that the videos don't contain any spoilers, but they are a thrilling new look at the upcoming season.

The first one-minute promo spot is basically a montage of those who have survived thus far in the series, and you will see all of your favorite characters, from start to finish, reining in the hype for season 6, which debuts on Oct. 11 this year.

AMC also released the first scene for season 6, which shows the tumultuous journey taken by actors Michael Cudlitz and Sonequa Martin-Green, during the post "Fear The Walking Dead" episode of "The Talking Dead."

Of course, the scene was not something that hints at what's to come, but rather at where the characters are currently and what they are going through at this point in time, after all the turmoil of season 5.

Season 6 will debut at just about the same time the prequel series "Fear The Walking Dead" completes its freshman run. The goal for the two series is to give fans a year round experience in the "TWD" universe that allows them to keep their fixes throughout each show's offseason.

Although the premiere for "The Waking Dead" is still well over a month away, the short six-episode run of "Fear The Walking Dead" will keep fans quite satisfied until Rick Grimes and his crew return for another season of weekly Walker battles.

The premiere is expected to be a super-sized episode, running 90 minutes instead of the standard one hour.
