Bobbi Kristina Brown Death News Update: Nick Gordon Visits Whitney Houston's Daughter's Grave
Nick Gordon recently visited the grave site of girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown for the first since she was buried alongside mom Whitney Houston.
According to Us Weekly, the 25-year-old Gordon, who was banned by Bobbi Kristina's family members from attending her services or visiting her while she was hospitalized, used the somber occasion to formally say his goodbyes.
Bobbi Kristina, 22, died under hospice care in late July, some six months after she was found face down in the bathtub of the Atlanta area home she shared with Gordon and was rushed to a hospital emergency room. The only daughter born to Houston and Bobby Brown never regained consciousness.
A $10 million lawsuit has since been filed against Gordon by the conservator of her estate, Bedelia Hargrove, charging that he gave Bobbi Kristina a "toxic cocktail," which left her comatose and suffering from severe brain damage on the morning she was hospitalized.
In the hours following Bobbi Kristina's death, Gordon's mother Michelle released a statement on her son's behalf attesting to all the heartache he was feeling.
"Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart," the statement read.
Gordon has since hired a high-powered legal team led by Jose Baez, the same attorney who gained Casey Anthony an acquittal in Florida following the brutal slaying of her two-year-old daughter. Through his attorneys, he has vigorously denied all the allegations lodged against him, and has reportedly relocated to Florida.
Whitney Houston died a little more than three years before her daughter, after she too was found face down in the bathtub of the Beverly Hills hotel where she was staying. Houston was in town to perform at that year's Grammy Awards. Authorities have since revealed she had drugs in her system at the time of her death.
