Mortal Kombat X has featured some popular characters from movies as bonus characters. The most recent possibility of another movie character making it into the game was Terminator.

Unfortunately, talks to incorporate Terminator into Mortal Kombat X were unsuccessful, and he will not be making it into the game, Ubergizmo reports.

Freddy Krueger from "Nightmare on Elm Street," Jason Voorhees from "Friday the 13th," and Predator from "Predator" have all been added to Mortal Kombat X through downloadable content (DLC), and there were rumors that Terminator would be the next DLC character.

Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon mentioned on Twitter that he had conversations about bringing Terminator to Mortal Kombat X. No reason was specified, but the conversations did not lead to Terminator making it into the game.

It would have been nice to see Terminator in Mortal Kombat X. Movie fans would have loved seeing Terminator take on Predator in a fight. Arnold Schwarzenegger was actually in both the Terminator and Predator movies. Also Terminator's fatalaties could have been really exciting.

Terminator will make it into one upcoming game though. Players who pre-order WWE 2K16 will receive Terminator as a bonus character, according to Game Rant.

The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack was a season pass that allowed access to these additional DLC characters. Mortal Kombat X likely will not stop there though, as a Kombat Pack 2 is expected to be released soon. The Kombat Pack 2 would be very similar to the first expansion pack and it would include four new characters and skin packs. There has been no official confirmation from Boon or Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm Studios, but there have been hints of it.

If a Kombat Pack 2 is released, it is expected within the next few months.
