The next Surface Pro tablet from Microsoft could be the company's best tablet ever. The Surface Pro 4 will likely use brand new processors and be equipped with the latest version of Microsoft Windows, Windows 10, Tech Radar reports.

Microsoft is planning an event in October where the new Surface Pro 4 is expected to be announced. Microsoft has already been ordering parts for the upcoming tablets.

Digitimes got word of components being shipped to Microsoft. These reports show that the Surface Pro 4 will have a super-thin profile, a large screen, the brand new Intel Skylake processor and Windows 10.

The screen on the Surface Pro 4 will be available in two sizes, either 12 inches or 14 inches.

Brian Hall, Microsoft's general manager for the Surface, says that Surface Pro 3 accessories will work with the Surface Pro 4. This would include Type Covers, power adapters, Ethernet adapters, Docking Stations and more.

"We are pleased to share that the following Surface Pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the 'Pro' line of Surface," Hall said.

With better performance from the Skylake processors, the graphics are expected to get much better in the Surface Pro 4. This means that gaming would look much better on the Surface Pro 4 than it did on the Surface Pro 3.

Buyers of the Surface Pro 4 will be able to choose from 64GB, 128GB, 256GB or 500GB of storage.

A brand new accessory called the "DisplayCover" will add 8 percent of screen space to the Surface Pro 4. The extra space on the screen would allow users to multitask without taking up much extra battery.

Microsoft has advertised the Surface Pro as the "tablet that can replace your laptop." The Surface Pro 4 will come even closer to that goal with a very powerful processor, great graphics and a super thin profile.
