Real-Life Risky Business: Prostitute Robs Teenage Boy
A 14-year-old boy in Illinois got more than what he paid for, but none of what he actually paid for, when he invited a prostitute over to his house while his parents were away.
The woman, Dareka R. Brooks, arrived at the unnamed teen's residence in Prospect Heights, IL on Wednesday after the two of them gotten into contact through a website devoted to matching prostitutes with clientele.
Once Brooks, 22, reached the boy's house she instructed him to remove his pants and he proceeded to sit on the edge of the bed. It was then that the rendezvous took a decidedly ugly turn.
The suspect proceeded to spray the boy in the face with pepper spray, and then ransacked his room, stealing his iPad and, ironically, his piggy bank.
The heist did not last for long, however. After Brooks left the residence, the boy alerted police about the incident and they were able to "ping" the iPad as soon as Brooks turned it on. The iPad in turn reported its location to the officers and they were soon able to track it down.
Authorities were able to locate Brooks in Elks Grove Village, over 10 miles away from the boy's home. Police officers would not disclose how much money was in the piggy bank.
Brooks, who is originally from Milwaukee, was charged with armed robbery and had her bail set at $10,000. As of this time she has yet to enter a plea or hire a lawyer.
The incident Wednesday was oddly similar to the 1983 film classic "Risky Business," wherein Tom Cruise plays the role of a young man who ends up getting robbed by a prostitute he hired.
