The latest trailer of the much-awaited "Supergirl" series lets the audience glimpse a new side to Kara Zor-El. CBS released a new promo for their female superhero on Wednesday that tugs at the heartstrings and inspires everyone to be as super as the title character.

"Why be ordinary, when it's your destiny to be super," the trailer said.

The clip for "Supergirl" lets the fans take a peek on the heartfelt journey of Kara, who expressed her doubt to her sister saying, "I can't do this."

Even the best of the heroes are vulnerable every now and then, despite their strength and superpowers. The new trailer showed a few flashes of Kara's hard-fought battle with Vartox (Owain Yeoman) and the heroine being beaten up. According to Cinema Blend, "Supergirl" will not be limited to this axe-armed alien villain, but will also be challenged by other characters such as Reactron, Livewire, Non and Hellgrammite.

Still, "Supergirl" reminded the viewers that "the greatest power you have is to believe in yourself."

"Supergirl" star Melissa Benoist agreed and gushed about the iconic costume to E! News earlier this year saying, "The second I put it on, something shifts inside of me. It's kind of impossible not to feel strength and empowerment and positivity and hope."

She added, "It really is pretty surreal."

"Supergirl" will tell the story of Kara Zor-El, the cousin of the Man of Steel who was sent to Earth from Krypton and adopted by the Danvers family. After hiding her true identity growing up, she was forced to reveal her special abilities to the public in her quest to prevent a disaster. For better or for worse, Kara is now "Supergirl" on a path to her heroic destiny.

The new television series is based on the DC Comics character "Supergirl," and produced by Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions.

Benoist leads an amazing cast that includes Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra "Alex" Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow "Winn" Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, and Dean Cain and Helen Slater as characters yet to be revealed, according to Coming Soon.

"Supergirl" will premiere on Monday, October 26 at 8:30 on CBS. The show will move to its regular timeslot on Monday, November 2 at 8 p.m.
