With friends like Taylor Swift releasing music videos at award shows, Demi Lovato had to get creative when it came time to announce news about her upcoming album, and that she did.

The "Cool for the Summer" singer used the power of social media to release the artwork for her new album, titled "Confident," and the album's track list, reported The Huffington Post.

The cover features Lovato looking as confident as ever wearing all black, her short hair slicked back and showing off just enough skin to evoke sex appeal without looking vulgar.

"You ready for this? NEW ALBUM OCTOBER 2015 #Confident," the singer captioned the cover artwork image followed by the track list.

While the singer shared the cover image and list  of songs on both Instagram and Twitter, it was her use of Twitter that definitely made the announcement that much more exciting.

The 23-year-old star enlisted a few of her famous friends to each tweet one of the names of the 13 tracks featured on her upcoming album, reported E! Online.

The singer and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama were the first ones to tweet song names, followed by media personality, Perez Hilton, actress Hailee Steinfeld, singer Bea Miller, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, who is featured on the track she tweeted, television and radio host Ryan Seacrest, singers Christina Perri, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Jonas, Adam Lambert, Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz and reality star Kim Kardashian.

The album news follows the singer's announcement that she will be performing at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, on Aug. 30.
