Are Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes the next teen romance to watch for? Their tweets sure say so.

According to Just Jared Jr., the two stars, who toured together last year with Austin Mahone, have sparked rumors of a possible romance with their recent Twitter conversations.

On Aug. 23, Mendes, who is from Canada and is of Portuguese and English descent, tweeted that he wanted to learn Spanish again and Cabello, who is Latina, responded by explaining he would learn quick with her as his teacher.

It wasn't simply Cabello's response that led many to believe they could be more than friends, but the flirty manner in which Cabello responded.

Before that conversation, the two stars had another flirtatious online exchange that included Mendes stating that Cabello is bad at texting and resulted in the Fifth Harmony singer then playfully calling him "grandpa" for constantly going to bed early, while revealing that the two text each other at night.

Mendes has publicly shared having a special regard for Cabello in the past, according to Fashion & Style.

In March, during an interview with Capital FM radio, the "Stitches" singer played a game called "Lips, Wife, Leave It!" and was asked to choose between Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall, actress Chloë Grace Moretz and Cabello. Mendes showed a preference for the Fifth Harmony singer.

"Because I know Camila well, I'd probably wife Camila, lips Chloë, and then I'd have to leave Jade, just because I don't know her," said Mendes.

Besides their Twitter exchanges, the two stars have also shared images of one another on Instagram.

Also adding fuel to the fire is their mutual friendship with Taylor Swift. Both Mendes and Cabello joined Swift on stage during her 1989 World tour and have both attended Swift's parties.
