Today's celebrities are expected to be much more than one-trick ponies. In order to make it big and keep it that way, stars have to tackle Hollywood from all angles. The following Latina women have already figured that out and are trying their hands at multiple different types of media. With such diverse backgrounds and undeniable talent, Hollywood won't forget these ladies any time soon.

Shakira

Back in 2001, Shakira made the crossover from Spanish music to Enligh music with her fifth album,Laundry Service. The multi-platinum album made the singer a hit in the United States and the United Kingdom. Now, Shakira is taking over television with her return to NBC's The Voice.

"Those four-chair turn-arounds were moments of fierce fight," Shakira said.

The Colombian beauty was first a judge during season 4 of the show alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Usher. This season, Shakira will be battling to against the same judges.

"I think the chemistry is better than ever," Shakira told Ryan Seacrest. "I'm having fun ... [although] Adam [gets on my nerves the most] because he's so competitive! And Usher is like Switzerland, he's a little more neutral. And Blake can get on my nerves too, but he's too funny."

The 37-year-old star will also make her mark in the United Kingdom.

"I'm heading to the UK to perform #CantRememberToForgetYou on @BBCTheVoiceUK on March 29th. Can't wait to be back in London! Shak," she announced via Twitter.

In addition, Shakira is expanding her musical repertoire with new music. She recently released a collaboration with Rihanna called "Can't Remember to Forget You," and also has a country song in the works. Her partner in the crime for the country jam is none other than Shelton.

"That was awesome," Shakira said. "We just [recorded it.] It's a country, folk song ... I kind of directed him. I wrote the song with some people from Nashville, and I sent it to him and I was super-nervous. I was like, 'Oh my god. What's he going to think?,' and he loved it. He said, 'Wow! This is exactly what you were talking about. I love this song.'"

The Latina singer, turned American sensation, turned reality judging star, turned country singer is also building Colombian schools with Barefoot Foundation, her charity. A new school opens Feb. 24 and will house 1,700 students.

"This is a project of my life, advocating for universal education and early childhood development ... and to make sure there are bigger investments on education today ... around the world," Shakira said.

Rosie Perez and Jennifer Lopez

Rosie Perez has always been a multifaceted talent. The 49-year-old can dance, act direct and now, write.

On Feb. 25, Perez's memoir, Handbook for an Unpredictable Life: How I Survived Sister Renata and My Crazy Mother, and Still Came Out Smiling (with Great Hair) will hit bookstores.

Unfortunately, Perez is not a fan of another Latina doing it big in the industry: Jennifer Lopez.

In 1991, Perez was a choreographer for the television show In Living Color. It was there that she met Lopez, who was auditioning at an open casting call. According to Handbook for an Unpredictable Life, Perez noticed Lopez's "big ass" right away.

Perez writes that she fought for Lopez to be cast on In Living Color despite creator Keenan Ivory Wayans describing her as "chubby and corny." Lopez was able to join the sketch comedy show after losing 20 pounds and getting a new hair-do, but apparently the makeover and newfound dancing gig went to her head.

"All of the girls were coming into my office complaining how she was manipulating wardrobe, makeup, and me, all to her advantage," Perez wrote in the book via New York Post.

Lopez, 44, reportedly wrote off the girls as being "jealous." Eventually, however, Perez says Lopez "went off" on her like "some ghetto biatch, screaming and pounding her chest!"

"You pick on me, me and only me, every f-king day! Every f-king day! I work my ass off, deliver and you keep pushing me aside, treating me like sh-t! I know I'm good! I'm better than any of these girls, and you know it," Lopez reportedly said.

Despite leaving In Living Color after two seasons, Lopez reportedly still had Perez on her mind. According to the Pineapple Express actress, Lopez made "disparaging comments" about her after coming up in the industry and subsequently ignored Perez's calls. Later, Perez would attack Lopez with her "biting tongue" after running into her in a club.

According to National Enquirer, both Puerto Rican divas are trying to diversify their résumé even further by acquiring the rights to the story of Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina to become an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Unfortunately, the tabloid reports that the two can't decide who deserves the rights.

It seems that if these Latinas really want to take over the industry, they are going to have to learn to work together.

"We ladies of color all know how hard it is for us in the entertainment business," Perez continued. "This kind of sh-t hurts us all and those that follow in our footsteps."

Orange Is the New Black Cast and Crew

Not only is season 2 of Orange Is the New Black one of the most highly anticipated returns of the year, the show is breaking grounds by featuring a myriad of minority women.

"It feels like Orange Is the New Black is the start of a movement," Danielle Brooks, who plays Taystee Jefferson, said. "To be on a show with so many women and not just on the screen, but also the crew and the writers and the producers, the team mostly is women."

Dascha Polanco, who plays Dayanara Diaz, Jessica Pimentel, who plays Maria Ruiz, Selenia Levya, who plays Gloria Mendoza, and writer Marco Ramierz are just some of the Hispanic talent behind and in front of the camera that are helping to make Orange Is the New Black a Netflix hit.

"When do you see a show with more than one person of color on it?" Brooks continued. "You have six, seven women who are black and Hispanic who are leads. It's so cool. And Laverne Cox [who plays transgender Sophia Burst], how amazing is she?"

In October, Jenji Kohan, the show's creator, said that the show's second season would focus more on the show's supporting cast instead of just the main character, Piper Chapman (played by Taylor Schilling). Both Taystee and her best friend Poussey Washington, played by Samira Wiley, will get more camera time this season.

"We will see Poussey's back story so I hope people are excited about that," Wiley said. "I'm excited about that. We will see a lot more of her in prison ... She's such a good friend and really good at that, but we'll see really more of her, her morals, where her loyalty lies, who she is as a woman, all that kind of stuff."

"I'm going to tease you a little bit about Taystee [in] season 2: you'll get more of me," Brooks said laughing. "The only thing I can give you is that for me Taystee has shocked me for season 2 so I think people will be excited to see what she does in season 2."

New episodes of Orange Is the New Black come to Netflix on June 6.
