Nick Gordon is rumored to have received up to $40,000 for photos and videos from his recent "secret pilgrimage" to the gravesite of his late girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown.

According to the New York Post, the money will be steered to Gordon's legal defense fund. Banned from attending formal services for Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only child, Gordon has since been slapped with a multimillion dollar wrongful death suit by Bobbi Kristina's conservator Bedelia Hargrove, alleging that Gordon physically abused and stole from her while they were together.

The 25-year-old Gordon's defense team includes Jose Baez, the famed Florida-based attorney who worked in securing an acquittal for Casey Anthony in the 2008 mysterious disappearance and brutal death of her two-year-old daughter Caylee.

As for the Bobbi Kristina photos, the pics were published by the National Enquirer and showed a "grieving" Gordon, kneeling at her grave site and kissing her tombstone at the Fairview Cemetery in New Jersey where she is buried alongside her mother.

Reports are Gordon visited the cemetery with his team on Aug. 17 and made a point of notifying photographers of his plans up to 48 hours before his arrival.

Bobbi Kristina died under hospice care in late July, some six months after being found facedown in the bathtub of the Georgia home she shared with Gordon. She never regained consciousness after being rushed to a hospital emergency room.

In the suit, it's alleged that Gordon gave her a "toxic cocktail" on the morning she was hospitalized that essentially rendered her defenseless.

Whitney Houston died a little more than three years before her daughter, when she too was discovered facedown in the bathtub of the ritzy Beverly Hills hotel where she was staying. Authorities later revealed she also had drugs in her system at the time of her death.
