Seth Rogen and Zac Efron will be sharing screen time with singer and actress Selena Gomez when "Neighbors 2" is released next year.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the actress was confirmed as the newest member of the cast when she was photographed on the Atlanta set of the upcoming comedy, a sequel to the successful 2014 film "Neighbors."

The much anticipated comedy will see Efron and Rogen reunite with Rose Byrne and Dave Franco for another plot consisting of crazy and out of control college parties.

Gomez, is rumored to be playing one of the sorority members who will cause new problems for Rogen and Byrne's characters.

The role would be a very mature one for Gomez, who tends to stick to more family friendly roles. However, the actress has begun to branch out to more adult roles since she starred in "Spring Breakers" with James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson.

In "Spring Breakers," the actress played a character who spent most of the time in a bathing suit, drinking and smoking with her friends while on a spring break vacation that went sour.

Gomez is the latest young Hollywood actress to be connected to "Neighbors 2," which is expected to be released next year. In July, actress Chloe Grace Moretz was announced to have joined the cast of the film, reported The Hollywood Reporter.

Moretz was rumored to possibly be playing the leader of a sorority, but the addition of Gomez, who was pictured dressed in a pink bodycon dress and surrounded by women, may prove otherwise.

Gomez, who will be releasing her upcoming album "Revival" in October, is currently busy promoting her upcoming animated film "Hotel Transylvania 2," which set to be released Sept. 25.

The film also stars comedians Adam Sandler, Kevin James and "Saturday Night Live" alum Andy Samberg.
