‘Orange is the New Black’ Season 4 Spoilers and Release Date: Three Characters Added to Cast
"Orange is the New Black" has reportedly added three new characters, two of them men, for its upcoming fourth season, Christian Today reports.
The three freshman characters will be recurring roles played by Brad William Henke, Mike Houston, and Kelly Karbacz.
"Henke is noted for appearing in Guillermo del Toro's 'Pacific Rim,' while Houston is recognizable for his role from the 'The Drop,' and Karbacz had a role in the film 'Get Smart,'" says Vine Report.
It is unclear what roles the three cast members will have, but Vine Report suggests that "Henke and Houston could play jail guards while Karbacz is a worker in the management of Litchfield prison."
Henke, Karbacz, and Houston were reportedly asked to join the cast in the middle of the filming the fourth season.
Producers of "OITNB" not only plan to add more male characters to the show, they also plan to showcase a new side of one of the show's main characters Alex Voss, played by Laura Prepon.
During an interview with TV Guide, Prepon revealed that Alex will showcase a more aggressive personality trait in the show's fourth season.
"I don't think you're going to see a more timid side of Alex. If anything, she's justified in her paranoia... That empowers her, in my opinion," Prepon explained.
Prepon's co-star Taylor Schilling also discussed the transformation of her character Piper in the upcoming season of "OITNB."
While speaking with Bustle, Schilling revealed that her character Piper's need for control and order will backfire during season 4.
"The more control Piper has, the more she craves it, regardless of the cost," Schilling explained.
iDigitalTimes reports that Netflix has yet to disclose the premiere date for "OITNB" season 4.
For now, the show's official Instagram account has continued to promote the show's current season by launching an orange pride campaign, which showcases fans wearing orange in support of the show.
