Nokia may not have actively joined the trend of producing high-end flagship phones lately, but that is about to end with their latest Nokia C1 set to be released in 2016.

According to GSM Arena, the Nokia C1 is equipped with 5.0-inch screen display with 720 x 1280 pixels as well as an eight-megapixel primary camera accompanied by a five-megapixel front-facing camera. It is also 8.6-millimeter thick and runs with Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware.

Under the hood, the Nokia C1 maintains a 32GB internal storage and a 2GB Random Access Memory. The new device surprisingly features a hotspot and non-removable battery.

In a leaked image featured on Phone Arena, the device barely makes a stunning physical profile, but these are just leaked images wherein the whole concept of the phone are being rendered by those who have an idea of the possible outcome.

Although there is no confirmed date of its actual release, going through Nokia's history of launching their gadgets, in November 2014, they launched the Nokia N1. This could also be used as a basis for their pattern of launch date, but the question remains, will there be a Nokia C1 this coming November?

If anything else, the new Nokia C1 is just as ordinary as any other entry-level smartphones, but this is still by far a sleek design compared to Nokia's other versions.

According to phandroid, one of the main reasons Nokia took so long to release their own smartphone device is because of their ties with Microsoft that bars them from making any smartphone units for two years. Compared to other tech companies, the time duration is too long to release another flagship, where it could compete to the trending requirement of its consumers.

The Nokia C1 is an entry-level phone that is expected to give the company a boost in the line of smartphones and tablet manufacturing. Because of their restrictions and ties with Microsoft, it is also believed that the Nokia C1 will be eventually launched in mid-2016. However, this has yet to be officially announced by the company.

Nokia's N1, which was launched last year, took two months before it was made available in stores. If that was the case, consumers would have to wait at least a year before they could purchase the Nokia C1. Aside from the mentioned specs, no significant app was mentioned that would set apart the phone from others.
