Rumors of One Direction breaking up have been circulating for some time now. Last year, Weekly World News reported that Harry Styles' then-girlfriend Taylor Swift was casing a rift between the members, calling her the Yoko Ono of the English boy band.

A producer related to the band said, "The band has decided to go in two directions. Harry Styles' lover, Taylor Swift, is the new Yoko Ono. It's all her fault." It was then reported that Styles was planning to go solo and record an album with Swift.

Then, just last month, Style's love life once again became the source of break up rumors as an article on Hollywood Life reported that the 1D member's relationship with Kendall Jenner was seen as a threat to the solidarity of the band. According to the article, Niall Horan and Styles almost got into a fight after the latter showed up late for a meeting because he was with Jenner.

But One Direction still continues to stand strong. Even though the members admitted during the 2014 BRIT Awards that they haven't seen each other for three months, TMZ reported the band still has three more albums to complete as stated in their contract. This means the boys are not going to be splitting up anytime soon.

Styles explained that the reason behind the members taking a short break from each other was so they could visit and spend time with their own families. And even though they are writing songs separately, they still stay in contact with one another to compare notes and collectively work on final drafts.

In an interview with radio station Capital FM courtesy of Metro, Liam Payne ended the rumors and said, "We're not splitting up, we're writing out next album. People say we don't work hard and it's all a game and whatever."

He added, "We just wanna make good music, and this album, honestly, every lad out there tonight who's thinking One Direction are this and that. Literally, next album - pick up our album and see what you feel."
