Selena Gomez is not a little girl anymore and she's making sure everyone is aware of that.

The 23-year-old Latina shared a topless image of herself on Instagram to promote her upcoming album.

According to Us Weekly, the image may be the cover artwork for Gomez's upcoming album "Revival." The "Hotel Transylvania 2" star captioned the image with the album's title and its release date.

Before posting the surprising image, Gomez teased fans with another post that read "This is my..." which left many of her followers curious.

Although daring, the sexy image is not vulgar since Gomez covers her chest strategically and can be seen posing modestly.

Gomez has been in the public eye for years and has always been considered a good role model because of her modest image and music.

"I've lived such a public life that I understand that I'm under a microscope," said Gomez about her career. "That has taken me into so many different phases. It's made me depressed and it's made me happy and it's made me grateful and humble -- but [I've learned] it's okay to let down my walls with my music, to feel sexy and good."

While surprising to some of Gomez's fans, the image fits the star's new mature image. Since releasing her hit single "Good For You," Gomez has made it clear that she is ready to branch out with more mature content that embodies where she currently is as an artist.

"Revival" will be the singer's first album since breaking ties with Disney and signing with Interscope records, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm not the best singer in the world, but I know how to translate emotion ... I'm just finding my strengths now as an artist," said Gomez during an "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" interview. "I'm becoming a young woman and I'm comfortable with my sensuality. ... [I'm] really excited about the title of the album and the rebirth of Selena. It's just beautiful. It's my chance to just feel like an independent artist and I worked really hard on it. ... It's all about my journey."
