Bill Cosby Sex Assault Case News Update: Model Chloe Goins Laments Life 'Dug Into' Since Coming Forward
A 24-year-old model, whose sexual assault claims against Bill Cosby may be the first to fall under the statute of limitations, laments she will "never be able to get over" what she alleges the legendary comedian did to her.
People magazine reports during a recent taping for an upcoming episode of the "Dr. Phil Show," Chloe Goins adds she's still suffering stemming from her decision to go public with her allegations. In all, dozens upon dozens of women have now emerged to allege that the 78-year-old Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted them over a period that spans more than four decades.
Goins went public with her accusations earlier this year, drawing an immediate denial from Cosby's attorney Martin Singer. He has since released a statement insisting that Cosby was in New York on the day in question and thus nowhere near the vicinity of the California based Playboy Mansion where Goins alleges the attack took place. Singer boasts he has the evidence to prove what he's saying.
"Unfortunately, with these types of cases the victim gets really scrutinized and dug into," said Goins. "My life has been completely dug into by people, and it's been a tough road."
Her attorney Spencer Kuvin of Singer said, "If he has evidence then we would like to see it, and the LAPD would like to see it too."
As recently as 2005 in a deposition he gave in a civil case, Cosby admitted to having given a woman Quaaludes before having sex with her.
Cosby is slated to submit to yet another deposition on Oct. 9, related to a case filed against him by former Playboy bunny Judy Huth, who alleges she was assaulted more than 40 years ago when she was just 15 years old.
The "Dr. Phil" episode with Goins will air Thursday, Sept. 10 on CBS. Check your local listings.
