Despite the boo-ing crowd, Rousey defeated McMann in a record-breaking 1 minute and 6 seconds, confirms UFC.

Ultimate Fighting Championship took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying, ".@RondaRousey's KO/TKO at 1:06 is the fastest in UFC women's BW history. Rousey is the 1st female to record a knockdown in her division."

Not only did Rousey make history with a 66-second TKO, the win is also the bantamweight champion's first non-armbar victory, notes USA Today.

The Rousey vs McMann match started off strong - with McMann swinging heavily and attacking Rousey, says Bleacher Report. But in a matter of seconds, the tide quickly shifted and McMann was enduring elbows and knees, one after the other from Rousey.

By the 1st minute, Rousey had already driven what seems to be the determining strike for the match, with McMann struck in the liver. Not long after, referee Herb Dean stopped the fight, prompting boos from the crowd.

However, McMann told MMAJunkie that there was no use blaming Dean for the early stoppage.

"I heard [Dean's] voice, and I immediately tried to get back up," she told MMAJunkie. "I'm not going to blame a referee for something I feel like I should be able to control. I should get up quicker. If you want to win fights, you just have to do it, regardless of what's going on."

"I got hit in the liver, and no matter how hard you train you can't make your liver stronger," Bleacher Report quotes McMann who was speaking with broadcaster Joe Rogan in the cage after the fight. "...I was trying to get back up, but it's my own fault. If you see a fighter drop, you have to protect us," she continued.

According to USA Today, Rousey was rooting for a liver shot on McMann even before the fight. "We studied her videos and knew it was the best thing to concentrate on the liver shot for this camp," Rousey said in the report. "The knee has been working for me the most throughout sparring in this camp."
