Hip hop star 50 Cent is boasting about building a mansion is Africa despite filing for bankruptcy less than two months ago.

The "Get Rich or Die Tryin" rapper recently posted a video on Instagram showcasing his new abode, replete with what looks like an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Workers can also be seen scurrying about in the clip doing construction and cleaning up.

"My crib is almost finished in AFRICA," 50 captioned the video. "I'm gonna have the craziest housewarming party ever. I'll explain later. I got a good life, man."

Born Curtis Jackson, the rapper/actor was recently ordered by a Manhattan judge to pay Lastonia Leviston $5 million in compensatory damages and $2 million in punitive damages after posting a private sex tape online that she made in 2009.

Leviston has a child with rapper Rick Ross, and lawyers for her told the court 50 posted the video on the internet as a way of getting under his longtime rival's skin. As for the bankruptcy filing, they contend it's simply a move to "delay and frustrate" their client.

More recently, Jackson has been slapped with yet another suit alleging that he stole the idea for his hit new series "Power."

According to TMZ, Larry Johnson claims he wrote a manuscript entitled "Tribulation of a Ghetto Kid" in 2005 and sent it to Nikki Turner, who works for 50 at G-Unit Books. While the book was eventually published by another outlet, Johnson insists he Turner showed the manuscript to the rap star.

Johnson further alleges the second season and running show is "a carbon copy of his manuscript." He adds in his manuscript the main character owns the hottest nightclub in Atlanta and in "Power" the character Ghost has the hottest club in NYC.

Johnson is looking for $200 million in damages.
