A rumor has been circulating across the Internet that recording artists Drake and Future Hendrix are dropping a joint mixtape on Friday.

Twitter users were in a frenzy on Thursday when some big names in the rap industry tweeted that Drake and Future were dropping a secret mixtape on Sept. 11.

Taking to twitter on Thursday afternoon, Los Angeles' DJ Skee dropped a major hint, tweeting, "Damn 2 people about to break the Internet tomorrow with this mixtape coming out of left field."

Skee's post was followed by Philadelphia rapper and songwriter Louie V Gutta, who posted on Twitter, "but rap game bout to light up! My 2 fav rappers right now bout to break the Internet I promise!"

Texas-based rapper and producer Mike Chehadé also tweeted on Thursday, "Super secret Drake & Future mixtape drops tomorrow. Yeah I'm telling secrets."

Rumors about the mixtape surfaced after "The Breakfast Club" host Angela Yee mentioned something about it on Tuesday's show.

In the video of Tuesday's show, Yee opens the show by talking about Meek Mill's performance at Fools Gold Day Off in Brooklyn, New York over the weekend, during which Mill insisted that his DJ stop playing Future songs.

In the clip, "The Breakfast Club" host Charlamagne tha God says, "Let's see if he feels like that in another couple months."

"What, when Drake and Future...?" Yee says before Charlamagne tha God quickly interrupts with, "Shut up, Yee. Jesus Christ."

Yee quickly changed the subject.

Watch the video and skip to the 1:28 mark to hear Yee's slip.

As the host of a nationally syndicated talk show, Yee likely has knowledge about industry happenings before they go public. Her mention of a Drake and Future collaboration is certainly worth acknowledging.

It wouldn't be the first time the two rappers worked together. Drake and Future collaborated on the "Where Ya At" music video off "DS2."

At the time this article was written on Friday, no mixtape has been released, but there is still time for Drake and Future to make it happen.
