Chris Brown Wins Joint Custody of Daughter Royalty, Monthly Support Payments to Remain at $2,500
Chris Brown has been granted joint custody of his year-old daughter and was allowed to walk out of the court room with her following heated proceedings in Los Angeles on Friday.
TMZ reports attorneys for Brown and Nia Guzman came face-to-face in contentious proceedings, where the mother was not only was seeking to deny the "Loyal" singer his custodial rights but also have it stipulated that he would only be allowed supervised visitation.
Instead, the judge sided with Brown and his attorney Mark Geragos, ordering that Brown and Guzman will now share physical custody equally, with Royalty going back and forth every four days. Both parents currently live in LA.
Earlier, the judge also ruled Brown's monthly child support payments would remain at $2,500, some six times less than the increase to $15,000 per month Guzman was seeking. The judge also ordered Guzman to refrain from badmouthing Brown and not to reveal any more details about the case on social media.
The 26-year-old Brown recently hired an additional team of five bodyguards to assure all goes well on his currently ongoing "One Hell Of A Nite" tour and nothing happened that could be used against him during the proceedings.
Brown also reportedly warned all his crew members, including dancers and performers, that they risked being kicked off the tour and sent home for a single slip up.
Word is Brown has also outlawed all smoking, drinking and swearing on his tour bus whenever his daughter is around. He also told them he would be playing Disney movies through the loudspeaker for Royalty's enjoyment.
Brown also continues to be concerned by a recent robbery at his home, where three armed men stormed the property and held his aunt at gunpoint, before making off with money and other valuables.
