When the game finally launches on March 11, Microsoft will be selling a limited edition Titanfall Xbox One bundle that includes a standard black Xbox One, the Kinect, a wireless controller, wired headset, a download code for Titanfall, and a one month subscription to Xbox Live Gold for $499. Those who want the limited edition Titanfall controller will have to buy it separately. The PC launch for Titanfall will take place at the same time as the Xbox One launch on March 11. The Xbox 360 version is in the works and rumored to release on March 25.

"To celebrate the launch of Titanfall, we wanted to do something special," said an Xbox executive. "For those of you who are already fans of Xbox One, we hope this will encourage more of your friends to join you on day one for Titanfall on Xbox One. If you've been waiting for the biggest game of the generation before purchasing your Xbox One, this special, limited time offer is perfect for you."

The beta for the new first-person shooter opened back in mid-February, restricted to a small number of developers and bloggers at first before being opened to all Xbox One users on Feb. 15 and later to all PC gamers. 2 million people in total had participated in the beta testing, which closed on February 19. "The designers spent a lot of time watching videos and streams of people playing to try and look and see how they were abusing things or not understanding things," said Abbie Heppe, community manager for Respawn Entertainment, the company that makes the game.

Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella tweeted yesterday "@MyStoryTVyt @Titanfallgame about 21GB of download and 48GB installed," making Titanfall large by contemporary shooter standards. In comparison, Battlefield 4 requires 30GB for installation and Call of Duty: Ghosts needs about 40GB. The minimum PC specs required for the beta were: 64-bit Windows 7/8/8.1, AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 512MB VRAM, Radeon HD 4770 or GeForce 8800GT.
