The three-minute video features Hierarch Artanis and the Protoss as they seek to reclaim their homeworld of Aiur from the dreaded Zerg Swarm.

"In Legacy of the Void, the upcoming StarCraft II stand-alone expansion, you are Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty protoss race. Years ago, your homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless zerg Swarm. Now, at long last, you have raised a powerful fleet of warships known as the Golden Armada, and are poised to reclaim your world. But an ancient evil-Amon-threatens this destiny and the fate of the entire galaxy. Only you can reunite the protoss factions and defeat the coming darkness before it consumes all life in the sector," Twin Finite quoted the official "StartCraft" YouTube channel.

Fans who want to pre-order the standalone expansion pack can do so on Battle.net. Pre-ordering the game digitally grants fans an access to the "Whispers of Oblivion" prologue missions. The expansion pack starts at $40 for its regular edition. Its Digital Deluxe Edition costs $60 while the Collector's Edition is priced at $80.

The expansion pack's digital deluxe edition will have bonus in-game content for Blizzard's other titles such as an Archon pet from "World of Warcraft," a Void Speeder mount from "Heroes of the Storm," and a protoss-designed card back from Blizzard's online collectible card game "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft."

Meanwhile, the collector's edition will have the same perks stated above plus a cinematic and special features DVD, the expansion pack's soundtrack in a CD and a hardbound field manual of "StarCraft."

The expansion pack carries some new modes including the "Archon" and "Allied Commanders" modes. It will also debut two new units from each campaign into the game's online multiplayer.

The expansion pack will release for Microsoft Windows and OS X on Nov. 10.

"StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void" will have to contend with the releases of two highly-anticipated next generation titles. "Fallout 4" and "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be released on the same date.
