NBA 2K16's MyCareer Mode is getting revamped, and with the help of film director Spike Lee the mode will tell the complete story of an NBA player's rise to stardom.

IGN reports that in MyCareer Mode, players will see what it is like to start out as a young and talented high school player with big dreams of making it to the NBA.

Players will take their character through some varsity high school games. After taking part in those games, the player is presented with a very important choice: which college he will attend.

There are 10 fully licensed schools to choose from in NBA 2K16, such as the University of Texas and the University of Arizona. Once the college is selected, the created character heads off to play in the NCAA ranks.

It is very important that the player makes sure his character plays as well as he can in college because this will determine his position in the NBA Draft. The higher the player is drafted, the more money he will make in the pros.

Once the player reaches the NBA, time management becomes very important. There is downtime in between the 82 regular season games, how the player decides to spend this downtime is up to him. Players can practice on their downtime to increase their character's attributes or they can decide to spend it in other ways.

Players can connect with current NBA players and develop relationships with them. By doing this, they will be able to collect signed jerseys for display in their MyCourt.

If players prefer, they can focus on their endorsements and sponsorships to earn in-game currency and special shoes for use in the game.

Players will spend their off time in the MyCourt. This is where they can upgrade their characters, look at statistics and standings and even shoot around. The MyCourt is fully customizable with colors of the backboard, rim and net as well as the floor and walls. Players will be able to display trophies that they have earned as well as signed jerseys that they have collected from other players.

MyCareer Mode will also have over 90 minutes of story mode scenes that was directed by Spike Lee.

NBA 2K16 goes on sale Sept. 29.
