"Mission: Impossible" star Tom Cruise is offering his Beverly Hills mansion on the market.

Cruise, the actor who will reprise his role in "Jack Reacher 2," is selling his luxury Los Angeles estate for $50 million discreetly, Variety reported, citing some sources knowledgeable about it. The said home in the gated posh neighborhood of famous Hollywood stars was reportedly once shared with "Dawson's Creek" actress Katie Holmes, his ex-wife. Cruise and Holmes reportedly paid for the Beverly Hills property eight years ago for only $30.5 million, making them profit nearly $20 million once the actor finds a serious buyer to claim it. The blog noted that the former high-profile couple also bought the Los Angeles mansion in a secret manner, too.

The more than 10,000-square-foot residence, per real estate records as cited by the site, resting on 1.3 acres of California lot has a gray exterior and displays several wings.

Outdoors, the extensive grounds reveal a swimming pool, a fountain, a spacious motor court, a tennis court with basketball hoops and a children's play area.

People noted that the house, which was constructed in 1937, features nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It witnessed the special bond among Cruise, Holmes and Suri during their stay there.

A friend of the stars even shared how they just enjoyed the simple times way back then.

"Tom and Katie will get in the kitchen and make this amazing popcorn with chocolate. Suri is there playing. Kate feeds her a bottle and then Tom feeds her," businessman Sky Dayton told the magazine in 2007.

More Ethan Hunt death-defying stunts for Cruise

Meanwhile, although "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" just hit the theaters in July this year, Ethan Hunt will be back soon on the big screen as the 53-year-old actor announces that he is already working on the sixth installment of the action-packed film franchise, Us Weekly reported.

"Now this is the fifth one. It's pretty amazing because it's the one, I thought, if I could keep making these kinds of movies... We're starting to work on [the sixth] now. We'll probably start shooting it next summer," Cruise told Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show."

The famous actor shared why even though it was almost two decades since he portrayed Hunt's role in the 1996 "Mission: Impossible," his passion is still very much into doing the movie that comes with explosive and breathtaking stunt scenes.

"'Mission' is the first film I ever produced, the very first Mission about 20 years ago," Cruise stated.
