Season 7 of "The Good Wife" will start off with a bang as Alicia Florrick takes on a case involving suspects seeking to make bail in bond court.

In order to revamp her legal career, Julianna Margulies's character will compete for clients who are seeking to make bail in the Season 7 premiere, which is titled "Bond," reports CarterMatt.

The synopsis for the first episode of the new season states that "Alicia attempts to revive her struggling law career by representing arrestees seeking release on bail in bond court, where she meets attorney Lucca Quinn [Cush Jumbo], who competes for her clients. Also, Peter brings in national strategist Ruth Eastman to help with his Presidential campaign, and creates an interesting dynamic with Eli in the process."

CBS also released a new photo from the upcoming season that shows Alicia in deep thought. The dazed look on her face could be caused by her changing circumstances since she will consider starting up a new law firm. Her expression could also be a reaction to the public scrutiny that she will be subjected to now that her husband, Peter (Chris Noth), is running for president.

In a new video trailer, Alicia relishes in the fact that she is independent now she no longer holds a political office or works at a law firm with controlling partners.

"For the first time in my life, I don't have to answer to anyone," Alicia says in the video.

The trailer also gives fans their first glimpse at Margo Martindale as Willa Eastman, a top campaign operative who will probably assist Peter in his run for president.

In another clip, Alicia seems to be making deals with Michael J. Fox's Louis Canning, who she calls "the devil."

Meanwhile, Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) turns over a new leaf in the promo, as he is seen drinking smoothies.

The new season of "The Good Wife" kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
