Chris Brown Wanted For Questioning by Colorado Police Over Alleged Assault Incident
Colorado police are looking to interview Chris Brown and members of his crew after a woman claimed she was forcibly thrown off of his tour bus and physically assaulted over her cell phone.
TMZ reports the alleged incident occurred Monday night outside the Platinum 84 Gentleman's Club, where Brown, French Montana and Fetty Wap were all present and working on shooting a video. The woman later told investigators she was not a part of the production and was targeted because she refused to part with her phone.
Word is the rappers and their crews had imposed a strict "no cell phone" rule in hopes of preventing any secret videos or photos being taken. The woman also claims her phone was broken during the melee and has formally filed a report alleging she was the victim of a third degree assault.
TMZ adds investigators have already obtained surveillance footage from the club, which shows the woman leaving Brown's tour bus. Labeling Brown and his entourage "persons of interest," investigators are now hoping to speak with them in greater detail.
The 26-year-old Brown had recently put members of his crew on notice that no slip-ups would be tolerated on his ongoing "One Hell of a Nite" tour given his ongoing fight with the mother of his child Nia Guzman over custody of their year-old daughter Royalty.
Brown was recently awarded joint custody of his daughter, but in rendering his decision the judge laid down a list of strict restrictions for the "Loyal" singer that included on-the-spot drug testing and the stipulation that his mom always be present whenever he has physical custody of his daughter.
Brown and Guzman were also ordered back to mediation later this month in hopes of the two being able to come to an agreement on a more permanent arrangement.
