William Levy, Thalía, Salma Hayek & More Celebrate Mexican Independence Day on Instagram
Several of music, film and televisions most popular stars took to Instagram to celebrate Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 16.
Actress Salma Hayek showed her support and love for Mexico by sharing a photo of herself with the Mexican flag. The actress, who was born in Veracruz, was also spotted celebrating with fans at the premiere of her new film "Septembers of Shiraz" at the Toronto Film Festival, reported Popsugar.
Singer and actress, Thalía wasn't going to settle for just one picture. The actress created a video featuring various memes of the singer celebrating her Mexican pride. The video also included the singer's popular song "Amor a la Mexicana" in the background.
Ximena Córdoba shared a photo of herself wearing a sombrero while celebrating on "Despierta America." The Colombiana captioned the photo, which also included a Mariachi band, with, "Congratulations to our Mexican brothers on your Independence."
Maite Perroni and her "Antes Muerta Que Lichita" costar Arath de la Torre celebrated the day by participating in the Mexican Independence Day parade in Los Angeles. The actress shared photos from the event, including one of her and her co-star riding in a car and waving at the cheering crowd.
"Extra" correspondent Mario Lopez showed off his Mexican pride by sharing a photo of the shirt he received from his grandmother in honor of his Mexican heritage. The shirt, which read "Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico," pays homage to the hometown his parents are from.
William Levy may be a proud Cuban, but that doesn't mean he wasn't going to show love for the Mexican community. The actor and model congratulated and thanked his Mexican fans for their support in a video that he posted on his Instagram account.
Mané de la Parra shared a photo of himself in Mexico standing behind a Mexican flag. The actor captioned the photo with, "Proud of my country, my people, my flag, our culture and our traditions! Go Mexico!"
Adamari López shared her support for not only the Mexican community but for the other countries celebrating their Independence Day in September, including Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, reported TVyNovelas.
The Puerto Rican actress posted a collage of pictures that included her waving several flags and wearing a sombrero.
