Mariah Carey hints she's having the time of her life with her new, whirlwind romance with Australian billionaire boyfriend James Packer.

"He's not joining me inside tonight," she told Entertainment Tonight outside the Harper Bazaar Icons party at New York City's Plaza Hotel. "But we were together last night, so that was fun."

The 45-year-old Carey and Packer begin dating this summer, several months after she split from husband of six years Nick Cannon. Almost from the moment she went public with her relationship with Packer the two have appeared to be on the fast track toward matrimony.

Not long ago, the two traveled to Israel reportedly to meet with Packer's spiritual adviser, and a source close to him told reporters, "James wants to marry her sooner rather than later, and she is very open to the idea."

The couple is also rumored to have discussed having a child together, perhaps adding to the twin 4-year-olds Carey already has with Cannon and the three children Packer has from previous relationship.

"Mariah feels that having a child with James would be a blessing from God," a source said. "She wants another child and is telling friends she's not too old."

On Icon's night, Carey donned the look of legendary diva Marie Antoinette.

"I'm pretty much the opposite of Marie Antoinette, but it's always fun to throw on a costume," she said for the Harper Bazaar issue that's set to hit newsstands later this month. Previously, the "Hero" crooner told ET her actual personal icons include Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross, adding, "I mean there's too many people to name."

As for her favorite person of all time, Carey raved about Marilyn Monroe, adding she named her younger daughter after the "Some Like It Hot" star.
