Not only can the "Need for Speed" fanbase enjoy a brand new reboot soon, but they can also hit the streets on their mobile gadgets with the upcoming release of "Need for Speed: No Limits." Pre-registration is now open for the much-awaited game.

It's hardly any surprise that the new "Need for Speed" is constantly in the headlines as the latest edition of one of the best-selling games of all time nears release date. On the other hand, it's been a while since EA has updated the fans on the franchise's mobile version "Need for Speed: No Limits."

The lull is over. After a few months of quiet development, "Need for Speed: No Limits" shows signs of life this month with some activity on its official social media accounts, a new teaser video and pre-registration beginning on the Google Play Store.

According to the game description on the Google Play Store, "persistent internet connection" is required to play the game. "Need for Speed: No Limits" is also free, although like most applications, in-game purchases are available to get a leg up the competition.

EA and developer Firemonkeys also dropped a few hints on the game experience including the modes available in "Need for Speed: No Limits" namely Time Trial, Car Delivery and Duel.

The description also explained the availability of real-world cars and "the most advanced customization system on mobile." Those who want a hands-on experience in designing their in-game vehicles will be stoked to find out that they can tinker with endless combinations of parts, plus get their hands on body kits from Rocket Bunny, Mad Mike, and Vaughn Gittin Jr.

A recent report from AR 12 Gaming specified the automobile models that will be included in the mobile game such as the Ford Mustang GT, BMW M4, Audi R8 V10, M3 Coupé, Challenger SRT8, 458 Italia, Koenisegg CCX, Aventador, McLaren 650S, AMG GT, Skyline GT-R, BRZ, Huayra, Impreza STI, Porsche 911 and Golf GTI.

Some details of the story line were also divulged, revealing that the player will be batlle it out against a powerful gang of racers named the Blackridge Royals Street Racing Crew.

Recently, a new trailer for "Need for Speed: No Limits" was released, showcasing a glimpse of the street driving action in the 30-second video clip. While an exact release has not yet been confirmed, the end of the video promised that it is "coming soon" to the App Store and Google Play.

The "Need for Speed" reboot for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be out on Nov. 3. The PC version is slated to be released in spring 2016.
