'BioShock Collection' Coming to Ps4, Xbox One in November? [Rumor]
After Irrational Games had shut down for good, "BioShock" fans were left wondering what would become of the game. However, after its parent studio confirmed that BioShock will keep its series, fans are now asking the question as to when will a sequel come out?
According to Game Rant, despite maintaining the "BioShock" franchise, it's still not clear whether there will be a fresh sequel for the game. However, rumors online say that owners of the latest gaming consoles may be able to get the "BioShock Collection" for their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
The first retailer to have launched the pre-ordering of the said collection is Raru, a South African retailer that was able to provide a complete trilogy of the game. In their advertisement, it was titled "The BioShock Collection."
Despite having no official title for the said collection, according to GearNuke, Raru has already put up on their website the pre-ordering menu for the said collection. If indeed there will be a collection of the "BioShock" game, everything may come from a revamped older series as 2K already confirmed that there are no new titles at the moment.
Slated to be released on Nov. 27 according to Raru's website, the much-anticipated collection is still in limbo as the previous posting of Raru has also been taken down recently.
Raru is known to spread news and leak information that has not been confirmed, and this is why the rumor of the "BioShock Collection" is still doubtful.
Still, fans may take this as a queue on keeping an eye on the game's possible release. "BioShock," according to UberGizmo, has been Irrational Game's product until the developer decided to close down without a concrete reason.
But in a statement from Ken Levine, co-founder of the studio, he said, "I need to refocus my energy on a smaller team with a flatter structure and a more direct relationship with gamers. In many ways, it will be a return to how we started: a small team making games for the core gaming audience."
Fortunately, even after the studio's shutdown, "BioShock" was retained under the supervision of 2K. Ken Levine, on the other hand, confirmed that his next project, which was reportedly a smaller game that his previous efforts, would still be under Take-Two's supervision, wherein 2k and the former Irrational Games were subsidiaries.
