Emilio Estefan's "We're All Mexican," which celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, was officially released on Sept. 20, and it features appearances from a variety of Latino and non-Latino stars.

Billboard reports the official video for the much-anticipated song was posted on the Estefan YouTube channel. The video features various images and clips -- such as Latino flags, famous moments in Latino history, and the people who are making a difference in the Latino community -- that represent and celebrate what it means to be a Latino in the United States.

Also featured in the video are various Latino celebrities like Thalía, Gloria Estefan, Pitbull, Perez Hilton, Carlos Santana, Luis Coronel, Eva Longoria and Banda El Recodo, as well as a few non-Latinos like Whoopi Goldberg, Kathy Griffin and rapper Wyclef, who raps in the song along with reggaeton artist Wisin.

"There's a message being sent out to the world where people are giving opinions that are plain wrong," said Emilio Estefan. "We need to lift up our pride and show the world what we're doing."

When Estefan originally announced the release of the song, many quickly believed it was a response to Donald Trump's controversial comments about Mexican immigrants. However, in a video on his Facebook page, Estefan made it clear that the song's intention was not to be an anti-Trump anthem, but instead was a gathering of a variety of talents to celebrate Hispanic culture and the people who work hard to represent the Latino community.

"I want to make sure people don't get confused," the producer said. "When I wrote and produced 'We're all Mexican,' it was scheduled to be released now for Hispanic Heritage Month, to bring people together."
