Snoop Dogg announced the launch of a lifestyle media website with a focus on the marijuana industry on Monday, Sept. 21.

The rapper, who has been investing in a number of tech products and platforms this year, revealed the new platform called Merry Jane, which will include video and editorial content centered around the topic of cannabis, reports MSNBC.

He first mentioned his venture with co-founder Ted Chung at a TechCrunch Disrupt event in San Francisco, a few months after jumping onboard the medical marijuana delivery startup Eaze.

In the first video posted on the Merry Jane site, two U.S. Marine veterans talk about how medical marijuana is an effective remedy to treat their stress and anxiety.

"It's the only medication that I've experienced that actually has beneficial results," former Marine Capt. Mike Owen says in the video.

Other videos posted to the site will include a cooking show where users can learn about different recipes, "Deflowered" -- a show in which people talk about their "first time" experiences -- and exclusive celebrity interviews. A few of the celebrities who have already signed on to make appearances include Miley Cyrus and Seth Rogen, Snoop Dogg hinted.

Several brands and retailers will have their merchandise displayed on the site, giving visitors a wide range of product selection. Useful information on different brands and directions to local dispensaries will be also provided.

Merry Jane will see its official launch in October, but until then, the rapper has said he's giving out 420 sneak peeks a day.

While legalizing marijuana remains a controversial issue in the United States, so far Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Oregon and Washington D.C. have legalized medical and recreational use of the drug. In addition, 20 other states, including California and New York, have legalized medical marijuana.
