A new trailer has been released for the unnerving new low-budget horror film "Last Shift," and it is quite the scare. Suffice it to say, this is a red-band trailer, and viewer discretion should be advised.

According to the synopsis on the film's Facebook page, fans of the horror genre have a real treat in store for them. Not only is the film a small, locked in setting, but it features a rookie police woman who is about to start her first shift on the job.

It takes place in a police station that is about to close its doors after the night finishes. That basically means that she is there alone, and there is no other backup available.

Of course, that segues into the evil past that the police station harbored before it was ever used for a base of law enforcement operations.

The film's main character is Jessica Loren (Juliana Harkavy) and she has been assigned to serve as the last police presence of the facility, to await a hazmat crew that will be coming to collect biomedical evidence from the closing station.

This is what starts the film, but the evil left behind in the station is what takes hold. Officer Loren has been ordered to stay at the station and under no circumstances is she to leave. Although all 911 calls have been rerouted, she still gets a call from a woman who seems to be dying under violent circumstances.

The evil that remains in the building also has a cult of devoted followers that soon infiltrate the facility and wreak havoc on the rookie officer. The building quickly turns into a devil's playground and horror unfolds at every turn.

The trailer itself shows quite a few disturbing images of horror and grotesque creatures coming at the rookie cop from all different directions. The IMDb page also says that the film has many echoes of John Carpenter's "Assault on Precinct 13."
