SXSW Interactive 2014 Lineup: Austin Festival Features Film, Gaming, Tech and Music
SXSW Interactive Festival is an annual festival that showcases cutting-edge technologies and other modern digital innovations. Currently in its 21st year run, the festival returns to Austin and will go from March 7 until March 11.
During the five day event, there will be various presentations and panels; the topics will revolve around emerging technology, with panel of brilliant minds in the industry as well as guests. Aside from these presentations, there will also be networking activities including several parties that are lined up for the festival.
The festival will also showcase a few special programs. These include a display of new websites, video games and other startup ideas that can be useful for businesses. There will also be some hands-on-trainings available and lectures on what the future holds for the industry.
According to the schedule of activities presented by SXSW, participants can expect to witness the following events: SXSW Gaming Expo, SXSW Trade Show, SXSW Film, 17th SXSW Interactive Awards, SXSW Music and SXSW Accelerator. On the first two days of the festival, there will only be a few activities. However, towards the end, the festival will have a lot more things to do for everyone in attendance. There will even be more fun activities, like crash courses.
On its last night, SXSW ends with a music festival and film party. Those who are attending the festivities can expect a jam-packed schedule according to what the organization has displayed on their website.
There are different ticket packages available for those who plan to attend the festival. Once it is bought, the ticket is non-refundable. They can be given to another person however, provided that a processing fee of $175 is paid. In its 21st year, loyal followers of the festival are expecting to get a lot more from SXSW, considering the festival's success in previous years.
